Clear Path Connection: A Progress Report

The Path to Progress

The leaves are starting to change, and so is the I-465 and I-69 interchange. There are clear signs of project progress.

As our progress continues throughout the Clear Path corridor, expect significant shifts in traffic patterns. New pavement along the corridor, a bridge at the main interchange, and ramps at I-69 and 82nd Street will all be changing in the near future.

Opening Soon: 82nd Street Ramp to I-69 North

The 82nd Street ramp to I-69 North is expected to reopen to traffic by late October, weeks ahead of schedule. Once opened, the ramp will be in its final configuration. The ramp from I-69 North to 82nd Street is expected to remain closed until early 2024.

Building Bridges The deck of the new bridge that will connect I-69 South to I-465 West has been poured. The approach to this bridge is currently being finished with new pavement just South of 82nd Street along I-69 South. It includes new added travel lanes that will lead drivers to the new bridge. Once across the bridge, drivers will be on new, added travel lanes along I-465 West near Allisonville Road.

Essential Pavement Repairs The essential pavement repairs along I-465 are almost finished. I-465 South will be reduced to one lane overnight throughout this week, and from 9 p.m. Friday, October 13 to 6 a.m. Monday, October 16. All lanes are expected to reopen to traffic following the completion of repairs by 6 a.m. Monday. It was important to complete the repairs before the winter months. I-465 North essential pavement repairs were completed in late September.
