About

The Clear Path 465 project will improve safety and traffic flow on I-465 and I-69 where they connect on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

The project will transform one of the state’s busiest interchanges with high-speed, high-capacity ramps for I-465 and I-69 that reduce traffic weaving and merging.

Clear Path 465 includes added travel lanes, new ramp lanes, 14 new bridges, two rehabilitated bridges, maintenance work and interchange modifications.

Construction began in early 2022 with the improvements are expected to open to traffic by the end of 2025.

The project is broken into two construction contracts:

The project will support the future, national I-69 corridor, which is being completed in Indiana.

I-69 is an important commuting corridor that connects Indianapolis with Fishers, Noblesville, Pendleton, Anderson and other communities.

The Project Team is committed to keeping stakeholders, including motorists and businesses, informed of construction progress, project updates and traffic pattern changes.

Updates will be provided through the website, email, text message, social media and through additional outreach.
