Project overview

The project presentation and fact sheet provide an overview of Clear Path 465 construction that began in March 2022.


Local officials, emergency responders and other important stakeholders review the latest project information and advise the project team on the proposals to maintain traffic.

Finding of no significant impact

On January 15, 2021, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Clear Path 465 project. The FHWA has determined that this project, as identified in the Environmental Assessment and supplemental project information, will have no significant impact on the natural and human environment.

Public Hearing and Virtual Public Information Meeting

A Virtual Public Information Meeting was held on October 13, 2020. The Public Hearing was held on October 14, 2020 at Fort Harrison Conference Center.

East 71st Street Multi-Use Trail

East 71st Street will be lowered by about 3 feet beneath the I-465 bridge, requiring in a temporary closure of the multi-use trail for up to one year. In June 2020, the public had an opportunity to comment on the Section 4(f) de minimis finding for the East 71st Street Multi-Use Trail.

Noise Studies

INDOT hosted a noise abatement meeting for residents and property owners along the east side of I-465 near 71st Street on August 7, 2019 at Heritage Christian High School.
