INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 3, 2022) – Sidewalk repairs will impact Allisonville Road traffic later this week near the bridge over I-465.
The repairs are expected to close the sidewalk Wednesday through Friday. Car and truck traffic restrictions are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, restricting northbound traffic to two through lanes and one left-turn lane.
I-465 bridge maintenance
Ongoing bridge maintenance work over the next two weeks will require I-465 multi-lane closures overnight Friday and Saturday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Crews are repaving the transitions in phases between I-465 lanes and the White River bridge, west of Allisonville Road.
The ramps from Keystone Avenue to I-465 eastbound are expected to be closed and I-465 eastbound will be restricted to one lane overnight Friday. The work is expected to begin after 9 p.m. Friday with the closures scheduled to end by 5 a.m. on Saturday.
Upcoming repair work
Additional maintenance work is scheduled for next week. Crews expect to apply reflective stop bars at the I-465 and Allisonville Road interchange signal, which will require a two-lane closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on or after Monday, Oct. 10.
Pavement repairs are expected to close the temporary southbound I-69 ramp to westbound I-465 overnight on Saturday, Oct. 15. Two lanes are also expected to be closed from southbound I-69 to Binford Boulevard. Reminders will be shared closer to date.
