A traffic pattern change is scheduled for this weekend on Clear Path 465 in northeast Indianapolis. Significant lane and ramp closures are needed on eastbound I-465 to direct drivers to new pavement.
The I-465 shift in traffic will move the exit from eastbound I-465 to northbound I-69 and southbound Binford Boulevard to the west near White River. This change will allow crews to work in the median and build new lanes and ramps along eastbound I-465.

Drivers can expect the following closures:
9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 to 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20
- Ramps from northbound and southbound Keystone Avenue to eastbound I-465 closed
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to Allisonville Road closed
- Eastbound I-465 reduced to two lanes between River Road and 82nd Street overpass, then reduced to one lane through Binford Boulevard/I-69
9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 to 6 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 19
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to southbound Binford Boulevard closed
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to northbound I-69 closed
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances occur.
Indiana Safe Zones
The Safe Zones speed control program remains active in the Clear Path construction zone. This program uses automated systems to monitor speeds in specified work zones. The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding in work zones. It’s important to slow down in construction zones and drive without distractions. Learn more about Safe Zones at SafeZonesIN.com
