More travel lanes will open this week on eastbound I-465 through northeast Indianapolis as Clear Path crews complete final work on I-465 from Keystone Avenue to the I-69/I-465 interchange. The added capacity will help improve traffic flow in the area.
- Eastbound I-465 is expected to increase to five lanes of traffic between Allisonville Road and the I-69/I-465 interchange by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
- The ramps from southbound Keystone Avenue to eastbound I-465 and from eastbound I-465 to Allisonville Road are expected to expand to two lanes by 6 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7.
Overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled this week to install signage and pavement markings to prepare for the opening of new lanes. Drivers can expect the following restrictions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day:
Tuesday, Aug. 4
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to southbound Binford Boulevard closed
- Eastbound I-465 reduced to two lanes from White River to I-69/Binford Boulevard
Wednesday, Aug. 5
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to Keystone Avenue closed
- Ramp from Allisonville Road to eastbound I-465 closed
- Eastbound I-465 reduced to two lanes from Allisonville Road to 82nd Street
Thursday, Aug. 6
- Ramps from Keystone Avenue to eastbound I-465 closed
- Ramp from eastbound I-465 to Allisonville Road closed
- Eastbound I-465 reduced to two lanes from Keystone Avenue to Allisonville Road
Friday, Aug. 7
- Eastbound I-465 reduced to two lanes from Keystone Avenue to White River
