INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 4, 2023) – Additional time is needed to complete unanticipated concrete repairs on the shoulder of westbound I-465 east of Allisonville Road in northeast Indianapolis.
The left lane of westbound I-465 from I-69/Binford Boulevard to Allisonville Road closed Tuesday evening and briefly reopened on Wednesday morning.
Additional repairs are needed before the lane can reopen to traffic. Crews plan to make concrete repairs during the day on Thursday, allow the concrete to cure Thursday night and reopen the lane before the Friday morning rush hour.
Drivers should expect delays, especially during the evening rush hour on Wednesday and again during the Thursday morning and evening rush hours. All motorists should slow down and use caution in the area, especially where I-69 southbound enters I-465 westbound.
Westbound vehicles, except large trucks, are strongly encouraged to use the express lane to get through the area.
