INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 12, 2025) – More than 80% of Clear Path 465 construction is complete on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Drivers will see continued improvements in 2026 as new lanes and ramps open, and work continues on the reconfigured I-69/I-465 interchange. A new Clear Path 465 Project Update outlining this year’s progress and what’s to come in 2026 is now available.
The majority of construction will be complete in summer 2026, with intermittent lane and ramp restrictions expected later in the year as crews finish remaining work on mainline I-465, I-69, and the I-69/I-465 interchange. Here is a list of what has been completed as of late 2025:

- Twelve of 14 new bridges
- Five miles of new pavement on I-465
- Rehabilitated I-465 bridges over 71st Street
- Ramp from northbound I-465 to northbound I-69
- Ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465
- New ramps at 82nd Street

Looking Ahead
Completion of mainline I-465 is expected in spring 2026. The following are expected to open this winter as weather allows:
- New ramp from southbound I-69 to southbound I-465
- New southbound I-465 lanes from 71st Street to 56th Street
Recent cold and snowy weather has slowed the final steps before opening some ramps and bridges in the Clear Path corridor. Additional time has also been necessary to work around utilities while safely maintaining traffic in and around one of the state’s busiest interchanges.
Expected to open spring 2026
- Two remaining eastbound I-465 bridges within the I-69/I-465 interchange
- New lanes on eastbound I-465 between White River bridge and the I-69/I-465 interchange
Expected to open summer 2026
- Ramp from Allisonville Road to eastbound I-465
- Ramp from 56th Street to northbound I-465
- Ramp from northbound Binford Boulevard to westbound I-46
