INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 10, 2024) – Clear Path crews will begin overnight demolition of the old bridges on I-69 over 82nd Street starting this week. As a result, East 82nd Street will be closed nightly (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) from Wednesday, December 11 to Friday, January 3. The closure will not occur on Christmas, the day after Christmas, New Years Day or Sundays. The closure on 82nd Street will be in both directions from the I-69 overpass to Shadeland Avenue. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained during of the work.
A detour will be in place utilizing Allisonville Road, Shadeland Avenue and East 75th Street. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
