Clear Path crews will begin demolishing the old southbound I-465 bridge over East 71st Street next week. As part of this work, East 71st Street and the adjacent trail is scheduled to be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, July 28, to 7 a.m. Monday, August 4. Drivers should utilize 75th Street as a detour for the duration of this closure.
These closures are needed for the reconstruction of the I-465 bridge over 71st Street and to make sure the area is clear of motorists and pedestrians.
The closures are weather dependent. Actual dates and anticipated work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.

The goal of the program is to keep workers, drivers, and their passengers safe by reducing excessive speeding in work zones.
